“Just back from the Mull of Kintyre & found this magic place. If you make the journey to play Machrihanish just round the coast is @CarradaleGolf the most amazing nine holer. Golf at purest, small greens in great condition, and a setting to rival any.” Ken Brown Ken on the Course (2019)
“The sweet spot where high handicappers are not overwhelmed, but good players are punished if they try to overpower the course and miss wide. Carradale nine hole links is studded with outcroppings of rock, which threaten a wild bounce on many holes, most memorably at the difficult par-3 7th. No less than seven of the nine holes are between 200 and 300 yards in length.” Tom Doak, Golf Course Architect
“Everything I hoped it would be and a whole lot more. Stunning golf course. The most incredible scenery.” D Normand (2019)
“Quite possibly the most scenic course I’ve ever played in Scotland. Honesty box golf.” N Galloway (2019)
“This is a lovely little golf course! It’s nine holes with very few hazards, although the heather and gorse are a bit fierce if you find yourself ‘out of position’! All holes are par 3 or 4. The clubhouse is fabulous- pay your fees at the honesty box £15 for 9 holes or £25 for a day ticket. Trolley hire £2. Tea and coffee- help yourself and pay at the honesty box. The views across Kilbrannan Sound towards Arran and down to Alisa Craig are spectacular!
Ok with dogs on a lead as well. Well worth a visit!” Trip Advisor (2019)“This course has provided challenges and fun for golfers of all kinds for many years. Visitors from all over the world have expressed their appreciation of its great views, of its short but testing holes and of the quality of the maintenance of the course. More locally, people return year after year on holiday to enjoy playing here with friends. Add it to your list of great Scottish nine-hole courses.” Trip Advisor (2019)
“What a beautiful course with stunning views. But what truly makes it is the friendly and welcoming members.” Dawn Kilpatrck (2018)
“Thank you to the folk at the course letting me play today even though it was closed for club championship. I go round lots of courses..this one was number 47 this year. Course is very varied .no 2 holes the same ..thoroughly enjoyed it ..was in excellent condition ..views stunning and very friendly people at the club.” John Smith (2018)
“Stunningly beautiful. Severe punishment just off the small greens so remember to bring enough balls and then just to enjoy being alive.” Chris Fell (2017)
“What a great set of challenging holes, great lay out. Views are fantastic. Really a gem of a course. People please stop by, even if it’s only for 9 holes. Thank again Carradale from myself and T Allen Wright.” Allan Bruce (2017)
“The course is an excellent challenge for all handicappers, one that needs guile to get onto the greens and which will punish the wayward shots. Challenging par 3s are protected by grassy terrain on rocky ground rather than needing bunkers. The par 4s require thought rather than simply the full driver. I particularly liked the 6th and 7th holes but was also taken aback by stunning views to Arran, Ailsa Craig and also to the various delightful bays around Carradale itself. Highly recommended and well laid out.” D McCorquodale, Edinburgh (2017)
“I love playing this wee gem of a course. The views are amazing and always great to meet the other club members who are so welcoming. A very friendly course to learn to play, enjoy and still offers a challenge to the more experienced golfer. Clubhouse facilities excellent. Nearby hotels, restaurants and B&Bs offer variety of accommodation and food for all tastes.” Trip Advisor (2016)
“What an amazing hidden gem of a golf course. Played 9 holes with goose bumps all way around, stunning views and an immaculate condition golf course. 5* all day long.” C Silvester (2016)
“I just have returned from a trip to Carradale from Australia where I needed to tell you how much I enjoyed playing golf at the club. The condition of the course was amazing and the entire experience was some of the best golf experiences I have ever had. Many thanks for the memories, and hope to see you again.” C Kirkland, Australia ( 2016)
“Thank you for allowing us to share in your beautiful course. The sun shone, the sky was blue & the scenery stunning. The course was immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing.” J&A Clarke, North Wales
“Having now played your course, you have a little gem. Just wish it was nearer my home! Compliments to your groundsman – superb condition.” Stuart, Northants
“The best times I had playing in Scotland. The views across the water…. breathtaking and the holes in the meadows …I met a chap walking his dog whilst I was walking towards green.. He offered me some River of life. And it ….. Refreshed my soul I recorded my only eagle of my life here ….Truly. A special course to me enjoy.” M Lisausky, USA (2016)
“A real gem. Definitely worth a detour on the way to Machrihanish. Plenty of interest and few blind holes. Loved the pudding bowl 6th hole. Good condition and spectacular views of Arran.” Colin H (2015)
“The views of the Kilbrannon sound are quite breathtaking. This links course is quite tight and unforgiving, nevertheless a beautiful challenge. (Round played: Jul 2014 – Score: 43 Handicap: )” David L (2014)
