There was a great turnout today for the Mixed Texas Scramble following the club’s successful Summer Dance last night. Golfers were extremely lucky to capture a good weather window between heavy showers and thankfully the forecast of thunderstorms never materialised.
Congratulations to the winning team of Andrew Kitson, Martin O Neill, Lynsay McGeachy and Liz Mcghie who were presented with the Neil McMurchy Centenary Trophy ( the trophy was donated by the McMurchy Family in 2006 in memory of Neil McMurchy to commemorate Carradale Golf Club’s Centenary).
Runners up were Emma Borthwick, Finlay Neilson, Anne Storm and Bob Owen.
3rd were Laura McGeachy, Martin Robertson, Sandy Galbraith and Gillian Kitson.
Prizes today were all donated by John Vallance. John Vallance was established in 1890 and is owned and run by the Neilson Family who are long term members of the Golf Club.
The club would like to extend special thanks to the following:
The Neilson family for sponsoring and organising the competition today.
Roy McMurchy for presenting the trophy to the winners.
Greenkeeper Robert Strang for once again having the course in excellent condition for play.
All the golfers taking part and clubhouse helpers providing the post competition refreshments in making the afternoon such a success.
