Thursday 2 August, turned out to be a glorious day for Carradale Ladies Captain, Mrs Deirdre Robertson, to hold her Prize Day. 27 Ladies competed either in the main Stableford competition, a fun competition or a nine hole competition, allowing all levels of ability to take part and enjoy the day. The course was in excellent condition, thanks to Greenkeeper, Robert Strang’s hard work, and the scores returned was proof of this. After the competitions, there was a social event with catering supplied by the Ladies Committee. The monies taken in from the Raffle and entry by donation were given to the Captain’s chosen charity which was for Bonnie Babies, a local charity which provides layettes and blankets amongst other items for premature babies, and those who are still born, not only in this country but abroad as well.
